Be a Voice for Life on January 22

Sav A Life Holds “Stand for Life Service and Walk”

by Steve Foxworth Executive Director of Sav A Life Ministries, Inc.

On Friday, January 22, 2010, you are invited to attend the Stand for Life Service and Walk. The service begins at noon followed at 12:30 by a walk from Macon’s City Hall to Central City Park.

The purpose of the day is for everyone who believes in life to take a stand together. This event occurs on the January 22, because on the same date in 1973, the Roe vs. Wade decision was passed which legalized abortion. This is your opportunity to declare along with hundreds of others the truth about life. This walk is not designed as a protest but rather as an affirmation of life. In years past it was called the “silent” memory walk. Recently, the name has changed to the “Stand for Life Service and Walk” because we believe someone should stand up and speak out for life. We can no longer be silent on the issues that matter. If we don’t take a stand for life, who will?

At Sav A Life we like to say, “Since life is God’s idea, it is a wise choice to defend it.”

Join us in being a voice for life.

We publicize the walk as a prolife event not an anti-abortion event. The liberal media continues to use “pro-choice” and “anti-abortion” to characterize the two sides of the debate. If they were fair and balanced, it would be characterized as “pro-choice and prolife.” The counter comparison would be to use the terms “antiabortion, and anti-life.” And by the way, we aren’t against choice, we believe everyone is entitled to choices– based on truth. Our mission at Sav A Life is to empower individuals with life-affirming truth so they will make a wise decision. We must realize that some decisions aren’t for us to make, like, if a preborn baby should live or die.

The reality is every abortion kills a beating heart. You and I are alive today because our mothers gave us the right to live, the right every person created by God deserves to have.

Join us on January 22 in giving one hour of your time to stand up for life. For more information, go to www.salmacon.com.
