A COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS

 


Nothing brings out the best

in a community like

Christmas. Middle Georgia

churches, as always, offer us the

finest gifts of the season.

Here are some of the many

local opportunities you can attend

to keep Christ first in your

Christmas this year. More events

are listed in the His Happenings

section found on page 10.
 

Singing Christmas Tree,

December 4-5 at 7 p.m. Doors

open at 6 p.m. Featuring the choir

of Central Baptist Church, and held

at the Warner Robins Civic Center.

Admission is free.

Christmas at the

Crossroads, December 6 at

6 p.m. A community-wide celebration

of Christmas, sponsored by the

Perry Ministerial Association.

Carroll Street near the Old

Courthouse in Perry.

 

Picture at the Manger.

Have a picture taken around the manger

in a Bethlehem stable. Costumes

and photographer provided. Your

photo will be e-mailed to you. It’s

free, and takes place at Light Up

Perry, part of Perry’s Christmas at

the Crossroads celebration on

Sunday, December 6 from 5 to

7:30 p.m, Downtown Perry, directly

across from the Old Courthouse,

at the corner of Carroll and Ball

Streets, next door to Show Kids

and Overton Jewelers. Picture at

the Manger is sponsored by Christ

Lutheran Church in Perry.

 

Drive Thru Nativity.

December 10-12. 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Fourteen scenes tell the story of

Jesus’ birth. Meaningful for all

ages. Riverside United Methodist

Church, 735 Pierce Avenue.

Macon.

 

The Live Nativity Program.

December 10-13 at 7 p.m. The

story of the birth of Jesus. Dress

warmly, bring your lawn chairs,

and enjoy the presentation.

Christmas Concert

December 16 at 6:30 p.m. Byron

Baptist Church, 100 West White

Road, Byron.

 

Walk Through Bethlehem.

December 18- 20 from 4 to 10

p.m. each night. Doors open at 4

p.m. on Friday, 3 p.m. on Saturday

and Sunday. Parking lot closes at

10 p.m. each night. Anyone in the

worship center by 10 p.m. will see

WTB, weather permitting. See the

city of Bethlehem recreated in this

3-acre walk through interactive

drama of the night of Christ’s birth.

Sounds of the Season with the

Middle Georgia Concert Band.

December 20 at 6 p.m. The tradition

continues with the Middle

Georgia Concert Band as they perform

some of the best-loved
